Hiding God's Word in Their Hearts.......
This is a chart I use to help us keep track of how many scriptures each of my children are learning. When they have a verse memorized they get to put a sticker on their chart. Once the chart is filled, like this one is, they get a reward of some sort. Nothing big or fancy it is simple but memorable. Hannah may get to have a tea party or get a fun snack of some sort. She may earn some special mommy time we haven't decided yet what it will be. Whatever we decide it to do it will be fun and will leave a lasting memory, always my goal!
In the meantime while my children are having fun putting stickers on their charts the most important thing is that they are hiding God's Word in their heart. God promises His Word will never go void! So the more we hide of His Word in our children's heart the more their life will be blessed by knowing the Word of God! In essence when we know the Word of God we are that much closer to God!
When our children know scripture they have something to quote and hold onto in times of trouble or when the enemy is attacking them! It is the best tool and gift you can give your children to use in their life today and throughout their life!
Thank you Lord Jesus for your precious Word! It is soothing to my soul like cool water on a hot day! In Jesus name I pray, Amen!
