Scouting It Out.....

Soaring With Grace!
My cat loves to go after these birds. Sometimes he does it to torment them and other times it is to eat them. I guess they decided it was pay back time. So now when they see my cat walking around outside, anywhere near their tree, they all take turns swooping down skimming closely right over his head. It is funny to see a cat afraid of birds LOL. He literally cries and hides under our deck when they are making their point to him. I was amazed to see these birds behave so boldly but I guess even birds are willing to come up against a cat if that is what it takes to protect their own and their home!
This was a great home school moment. My children learned, first hand, that God puts survival instincts in all of us, even little birds. It also taught them that we are never too small to come against that scary giant. These birds came up against our cat even though they knew him to be a predator and them to be his prey.
What my children witnessed was a David and Goliath type of situation reenacted in the animal kingdom. These birds were behaving purely out of instinct. How much greater are we because not only do we have the instincts that God put into us but we also have His spirit within us. With Him all things are possible. We never need to be afraid or doubt for "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13 It was a good visual lesson to face our fears for nothing is too big for God!
For those of you who may be struggling in this area yourself. There is an awesome movie out there called "Facing The Giants". Truly an awesome and inspiring movie that will help you regain your faith if you find you are growing weary in it!
Lord you never cease to amaze me with your awesome creation and your promise to never leave us! Thank you for your love! In Jesus name I pray, Amen!
